Mary Rosser

I am a wife and mom who has spent some of my happiest moments and had my best thoughts while running trails or taking in the scenery from the saddle of my bike.  I have an obvious love for the outdoors and am passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle. I am working hard to keep that spirit alive in my two children!

I’ve been a runner since junior high school, competing here and there in road and trail races.  I’ve tried my hand at triathlon, road cycling and mountain biking, and adventure racing. I love it all. Currently I’m training for the 2010 Mercedes Marathon (my first) and am a member of team Bike Link Racing. This year I qualified for the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship, and consequently earned a spot on Team USA at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2010.

I hold a bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from the University of Montevallo here in Alabama, where I graduated magna cum laude. I have also earned a personal training certification from ACE. Additionally, I remain CPR certified by the Red Cross. After several years teaching fitness classes for Carraway Medical Center, I chose to be a stay at home mom. Believe it or not, this has done more for my personal fitness than anything…as I have learned how to squeeze in the best workouts in a limited amount of time. I want to share this with others who feel that they don’t have the time or energy to exercise, or don’t know how to get started. Its such an important part of my life, and I can’t imagine living any other way. I hope to bring some inspiration and motivation to others who are struggling to fit it all in by offering convenient and low cost classes within the community.
